Lucifuego is one of the first Spanish Black Metal bands. Although officially formed in 1992, the riffs and lyrics of Lucifuego Master (its founding mastermind) had already been developing since at least 1990, while he also led other Grindcore and Death Metal bands, such as Brutal Askerosity, Deformed, and many others from the scene at the time.
In 1993, they enlisted the help of Chuchi, drummer for Abhorrent (later Inner Dogma), to record a single track titled «Lucifuego.» This song was recorded by Gerar of Anticlerical in 1993.
Later, with the help of Dettenbach and Argus (both in Stinkupus and Undernoise at the time), they recorded «Blaze of Lust» on their own. Released in 1995, this demo also came out under another name: «Black Arts.» Two names for one infamous demo.
After that, around 1996 or 1997 (it’s not clear), Lucifuego Master decided to put the group on hiatus, until their resurrection in the early 2000s, which would not materialize until 2005.
Now, you can download both full demos. Digitized directly from the cassette master, the sound remastered to achieve higher quality. A bit of a challenge given the means used to make them, but oh well.
