Blood Feast, a band I had previously undervalued, has really hit its stride with Infinite Evolution. Moving Adam Tranquilli from guitar to vocals, the band adopts a snarling, thrashier style reminiscent of Jeff Becera, paired with tight, fast riffs, wiry leads, and explosive drumming. While comparisons to Possessed are inevitable—especially their East Coast vibe and horror-themed lyrics—the album surpasses their previous efforts, delivering memorable tracks like «Ravaging the Loins of Mary» and «Of Hell» alongside ambitious pieces like the epic «Eye of Glass.» With its blend of black/thrash and death/thrash elements, Infinite Evolution is both a nod to classic influences and a thrilling, modern take on cinematic, evil thrash metal, making it arguably the best record of their career and highly recommended for fans of the genre.
