Megaton’s self-titled debut is a cult classic of Mexican Heavy/Speed Metal, blending electrifying riffs, neoclassical melodies, soaring falsetto vocals and a hard-hitting Rock ’n’ Roll attitude. Despite its rough production and unbalanced mix, this short but explosive late-’80s release delivers enough raw energy and memorable songwriting to earn its place among the underground’s hidden gems.
