Tomorrow, May 20th, Funebre Devastation’s new album will be officially released.
This new album is «Allegiance in Torment,» a four-track preview of their upcoming third album, due out later this year.
It consists of the song «Allegiance in Torment,» two re-recorded tracks from the first album, «Mortal Prophetic Silence» and «Battle of Awakening,» and a track exclusive to this release, titled «Metal Ungods.»
The approach to old-school speed/thrash metal in this «Allegiance in Torment» is stronger than on other occasions. Here, the influences of early Sodom and Celtic Frost, as well as Bathory and Venom, are more evident. But without forgetting, of course, the old-school death metal component.

Talking about Warshade, it’s quite complicated. The band’s origins date back sometime in 1998, when Erun-Dagoth began composing riffs in a more epic Heavy Metal vein.
In 2000, the band completed the lineup with Throrus (Stygian, CrystalMoors), Samuel (Flowing Crimson), and Misanthate (Eldereon, Flowing Crimson). But, although it wasn’t the only lineup Warshade had, for some reason, Warshade never left the rehearsal room.
In 2020, Ness (Tempvs) joined on vocals, and with this new addition, the project was reborn. The remaining members would be the full Funebre Devastation (Erun-Dagoth, Argus, and Ha-Shatan).
Thus, the new Warshade began composing and recorded a rehearsal with two songs (one a Manowar cover), but the pandemic forced the band to go on hold for a while.
In 2022, the studio version of «Freedom» was recorded, thus bringing a new era to a close.
Currently, the project has undergone another change, but new material in a more Heavy/Speed Metal vein is being written.

Under the unusual name of Sri Lanka, a group of very young musicians from Santander teamed up with Oscar, another restless kid who, with the experience of having sung in the thrashers Mordor, decided to pursue that sharp, technical sound. Influenced by bands like the legendary Megadeth, Metallica, and Annihilator, they began composing what would become the demo «Samarcanda.»
The demo was self-released on cassette, as was often the case at that time (1995), and was also self-distributed.
After a handful of concerts with bands of all kinds, and after several lineup changes, they decided that Sri Lanka didn’t quite define the band and changed their name to Endemic. This occurred sometime in the late 1990s.

Cadaveric Metamorphose is a project created by Charly and Eddie, both in Undernoise at the time (2008).
These two crazy people got together to make a demo of authentic Goregrind, without any frills or bullshit. The two of them composed three songs, sang them, and programmed a drum machine.

Lucifuego is one of the first Spanish Black Metal bands. Although officially formed in 1992, the riffs and lyrics of Lucifuego Master (its founding mastermind) had already been developing since at least 1990, while he also led other Grindcore and Death Metal bands, such as Brutal Askerosity, Deformed, and many others from the scene at the time.
In 1993, they enlisted the help of Chuchi, drummer for Abhorrent (later Inner Dogma), to record a single track titled «Lucifuego.» This song was recorded by Gerar of Anticlerical in 1993.
Later, with the help of Dettenbach and Argus (both in Stinkupus and Undernoise at the time), they recorded «Blaze of Lust» on their own. Released in 1995, this demo also came out under another name: «Black Arts.» Two names for one infamous demo.
After that, around 1996 or 1997 (it’s not clear), Lucifuego Master decided to put the group on hiatus, until their resurrection in the early 2000s, which would not materialize until 2005.
Now, you can download both full demos. Digitized directly from the cassette master, the sound remastered to achieve higher quality. A bit of a challenge given the means used to make them, but oh well.
